Essential Functions:

  • Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day job site activities and personnel
  • Establish effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • Establish the initial baseline schedule and implement the final project baseline schedule after consultation with the trade contractors, the project manager and Triamid management
  • Maintain the project schedule and ensure that work performed is consistent with the contract
  • Provide regular progress reports, including three-week look-ahead schedules, to the Project Manager, field staff and Triamid management
  • Communicate clear expectations for safety to project staff and trade contractors, and enforce compliance with all safety program policies during the course of construction
  • Ensure that all subcontractors participate in construction safety meetings prior to starting work
  • Ensure that all subcontractors fully comply with all safety policies, including maintaining safety plans and MSD sheets
  • Complete daily safety audits to verify all construction activities are being performed in strict accordance with OSHA and governing requirements, as well as the Triamid project safety plan
  • Communicate all worksite injuries to the Project Manager and Human Resources Manager, as well as completing and filing the injury report(s)
  • Ensure that all appropriate quality control standards for the project are upheld
  • Verify that all inspections are communicated, coordinated, approved, and documented to the project team
  • Manage site-specific construction activities, including initial construction surveys, job site utilization, and staging plans
  • Reliable attendance, the ability to pass a drug screening and background check, and the legal ability to drive a motor vehicle are essential functions of this position

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to communicate efficiently, expediently, and effectively, both verbally and electronically
  • Ability to professionally communicate to Owners, their representatives, architects, and consultants both verbally and electronically
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to learn new software on iPad, computer, and laptop
  • Ability to demonstrate efficient time management
  • Ability to demonstrate cost and productivity awareness
  • Ability to demonstrate efficient, effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes and procedures

Required Experience, Education, & Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ experience as a superintendent in commercial ground-up construction projects
  • 5 years’ experience as a superintendent for large-scale hotel or assisted living facility projects
  • Valid CA driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and access to reliable personal transportation

Preferred Skills, Experience, & Education:

  • AGC or Other Construction Management and Supervision courses
  • OSHA 30-hour training
  • A working knowledge of ProCore Construction Management software is a plus!
  • A working understanding of the Spanish language is a plus
